Maverick Director RGV’s Rowdy movie has been released today which is set under political backdrop with huge expectations from the public starring Manchu Mohan Babu (Anna), Manchu Vishnu (Krishna), Vennala Kishore (Bhushan) Jaya Sudha and Shanvi (Sirisha) in lead roles. Let’s continue whether the movie reached the expectations or not.
Anna who rules law and order and runs a parallel government in Rayalaseema is adored by the people, in and around the village who raises voice if anyone violates the law. Anna has two sons out of whom Bhushan (kishore) is a short tempered individual who is unstable and student Krishna (Vishnu) as his sons in this movie. The story line draws the attention of the individuals as Anna and his sons face political storm.
Rest of the movie is waiting for the viewers in cinemas.
Mohan Babu’s performance is outstanding in the political action entertainer along with lengthy dialogues in the movie. The body language, dialogue deliver and diction are outstanding. Mohan Babu’s mannerisms caught the pulse of the audience.
Manchu Vishnu proved his role promising. Shanvi is ok with her performance. For few sequences she has delivered mixed performances with her glamorous appearances at times.
Kishore and Tanikella Bharani are promising to their roles in this movie in supporting roles. Jaya Sudha is promising with her limited role.
The start of the movie till interval is dragging apart from Mohan Babu’s performance the movie is down to earth. Narration of the story line is thin and it would be better if the director included mass numbers in this movie. Violence showcased in the movie dominated the presence of comic scenes as well. On the whole, the movie is worth watching if you are a Mohan Babu’s fan.
Second half of the movie sounds interesting as Vishnu’s involvement into politics and his struggles makes the viewers hook to chairs. Music of the movie is convincing and it would be better if he worked harder.
The movie is set under the background of Rayalaseema and most of the movie is inspiration of Sarkar 1 and 2 movies with dilution of original script. Music is down and cinematography is ok.
Background score of the movie is decent and fights in the flick are dragging. Production values are excellent. On the whole, the movie is right mix of over creativity of the director.
Few songs and scenes hooked the audience to chair. Editing might be even crisper.
Rowdy is worth watching
