Lyrics: Madhan Karky

This is the title song of the film and true to its name; Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the song giving it a mass style. The song has all the mass elements that make the listeners jump, hop and dance involuntarily. Above all, it was sung by Shankar Mahadevan, accompanied by Ranjith and Yuvan Shankar himself. The middle of the song introduces Nayantara.

Vocal: Vaikom Vijayalakshmi

Lyrics: Madhan Karky

This song is composed differently. It looks like an eerie number with Vaikom Vijayalakshmi singing it. Beautiful piano notes and masterful symphony elevated the number to a different musical genre. It’s indeed an experimentation number.

Singers: Yuvan Shankar Raja, Pooja

Lyrics: Gangai Amaren

This song Poochandi has been written by the director’s father Gangai Amaran. It is composed in a musical genre of the ‘80s pop music blended in native folk with hip-hop beats. Yuvan has put his heart and soul into the song making it a peppy hit, while Pooja on her part matched her vocals spicing up the song further.

 Naan Aval Illai

Singers: Karthik, Chinmayi

Lyrics: Madhan Karky

With Karthik at the mike rendering his vocals, can that number lack melody? Absolutely no! Karthik has the ability to turn any number into a melodious one with his enthusiasm-filled bass voice. Karthik sang the song in his inimitable style and accompanied by Chinmayi.  The song has a meditative effort.

Conman Theme Music

A peppy number spiced up with Punjabi rhythm, this number is a sure hit with the youngsters

Masss Theme Music

This thematic song has a beautiful electric guitar solo. The masterstroke occurs with the advent of symphony supported flawlessly with an ironic rhythm section. This number appeals to the mass audiences.

Therikkudhu Masss (Premji Amaran’s Gasa Gasa Remix)

Singers: Ranjith, Shankar Mahadevan, Yuvan Shankar Raja

Lyrics: Madhan Karky,

This peppy hip-hop number in the end is spiced up Premji Amaran’s  Gasa Gasa remix. It is composed in a remix genre.

Verdict: The Masss album is above average. It does have the style of Yuvan Shankar Raja. With Karthik, Shankar Mahadevan, Ranjith lending their vocals, this album is going to be a sure hit with the masses.
